Your own agents
Build an agent from scratch or a template, or fork an official one and change anything.
In Agents → Your agents → Create agent you have three ways to start:
| Start from | You get |
|---|---|
| Scratch | An empty agent with a name and a role. |
| Template | A one-time copy of an ORYVOX template. |
| Fork | A copy of an official agent, or your instance of one, that you can change completely. |
A fork copies the agent's files only: not its versions, deployments, runs, usage, approvals, memory, secrets, connections or overrides. It has no update link to the original: ORYVOX updates won't reach it.
What an agent is made of
An agent is a package of files, edited in Files and compiled into a version:
| Part | |
|---|---|
| Identity | Persona, role, mission, voice, languages. |
| Behaviour | Instructions, objectives, priorities, constraints, conversation and decision policies. |
| Knowledge | Which knowledge it reads. |
| Tools | Which capabilities it needs and how it may use them. |
| Memory | What it may remember, and for how long. |
| Handoff | When and to whom it hands over. |
| Tests | Scenarios it must pass before release. |
| Runtime | Model policy, limits, retries. |
Files can be validated, compared with earlier versions, exported as a zip and imported back.
Release
Publishing compiles the files into an immutable version. Failing checks block publishing. Deploy that version to Development, then Production; roll back any time.
