Leads and handoff
What Leo collects, how a lead is scored, and when a person takes over.
When Leo asks for contact details
Only when the visitor wants something that needs them: an offer, a call, to be contacted. Leo helps a visitor who is interested in buying, but without pressure. It never asks for details just to have them.
What a lead contains
| Field | |
|---|---|
| Name, email, phone | What the visitor shared. Asking for a phone number is optional, set in Behaviour. |
| Need | What they're looking for, in their own words. |
| Summary | A short summary of the conversation. |
| Score | 0–100: how likely the lead is to buy. |
Leads appear in Leads and in each chatbot's Leads and handoff.
Hot leads
When a lead's score passes the hot threshold, your automations run. For example, a message to a Slack or Teams channel, or a new deal in your CRM. Webhooks fire lead_created and lead_qualified, see Webhooks.
Handing over to a person
With Talk to a person switched on, a visitor can ask for a person at any time. Someone from your team replies in the same conversation, from Conversations. Leo also hands over when it can't help, or for things only your team decides, such as negotiated prices.
Handed-over conversations can be emailed to an address you set in Behaviour.
