Get a token

In Shopify admin: Settings → Apps and sales channels → Develop apps → Create an app (e.g. ORYVOX) → Configure Admin API scopes. Tick only these read scopes:

`read_orders`	Order lookup, status and tracking
`read_legal_policies`	Delivery and return terms

Install app → API credentials → copy the Admin API access token (shpat_…). Shopify shows it only once. No write_… scopes are needed.

Connect

Integrations → Shopify → Connect.
Open Integrations, find Shopify (search, or the E-commerce category) and click Connect.

Tools

For each tool you choose when it runs. Agents only tools never reach the website chat.

Orders stay private

The chat finds an order only by its number together with the buyer's email, and both must match. It never shows anyone else's order.
