Projects and environments
Keep each product's chatbots, agents, environments, keys and budget apart, while Credits stay shared.
A project keeps one product or client apart: its AI assistants, agents, websites, integrations, tools, environments, API keys and budget. Credits stay shared by the whole workspace.
Create a project
- 01
Projects → New project: name, description, purpose.
Open Projects → New project. Give it a name, and optionally a description and what it's for.
- 02
A project starts with two environments: Development and Production. Your plan sets how many projects you can have.
Switch project from the top bar; search by name, address or prj_… ID.
Environments
| Environment | |
|---|---|
| Development | Where you build and test. Changes here never reach visitors. |
| Production | What your visitors use. A project has exactly one. It's protected: changes need confirmation and the permission to deploy to Production. |
| Staging / custom | Optional extra environments. The type can't be changed later. |
The environment switcher in the top bar decides which environment you're looking at.
Secrets
Each environment has its own secrets, such as STRIPE_SECRET_KEY. A secret belongs to one environment and is never copied to another. A saved value is never shown again; saving an existing name rotates it. Changing Production secrets needs the permission to deploy to Production.
Members
| Project role | Can |
|---|---|
| Project admin | Everything, including Production. |
| Developer | Build and deploy to Development. |
| Viewer | Read only. |
Budget
| Budget type | |
|---|---|
| No budget | The project uses workspace Credits without a limit of its own. |
| Warn only | You're warned when it reaches its monthly budget. Nothing stops. |
| Hard limit | New paid actions of this project stop when the monthly budget is used up. |
Only project admins change the budget. Projects shows each project's share of Credits this month.
API keys
Project keys belong to one environment. Keys outside Production are test keys and can't reach Production resources; a live key can. Choose what each key may do; copy it once, it's not shown again.
Overview
The project overview shows its AI assistants, websites, integrations, tools and Credits this month, what needs attention, recent activity, and an environment comparison: each resource's latest version, what runs in Development and Production, and how many versions Production is behind.
Archive
An archived project is read only. Restore it in Settings.
