Analytics workspace

Governed metrics, a query explorer, dashboards, KPI alerts and answers from Noah, every number with its source.

The Analytics workspace is where Noah and your team work with your business data. Periods and timestamps use the workspace time zone unless marked otherwise.

Metrics

The metric catalog defines each number once: an owner, an explicit measure and aggregation, a grain and the dimensions you may break it down by, e.g. commerce.net_revenue. Versions are immutable: a change is a new draft version, and activating it is a separate step. A metric without an owner can't be used on a published dashboard.

Ask Noah

Ask a question about your metrics. Noah resolves the metric, runs a safe query and answers, citing the metric version and query run behind every number. The query explorer works without Noah too.

Dashboards

Build a dashboard as a draft, add widgets for the last 7, 30 or 90 days, then request publishing approval. Viewers see each widget under their own row-level security, so numbers can differ between people.

Alerts

KPI monitors: a metric that falls below or rises above a threshold, changes by more than a percentage, or is anomalous. Set recipients and a cooldown. Stale or incomplete data suppresses an alert instead of triggering it. Notifications need approval of the exact audience.

Approvals

Publishing a dashboard and sending alerts wait for someone with approval rights in your workspace. You can't decide your own requests.

Permissions

People without the analytics query permission can view but not run queries.
